Interior color trend 2010 | Interior Design Color,Interior Color
Trends change every year in every field that requires the mind to be creative. The world of interior designing then, is not left far behind, as colors that had been dormant for a while now reemerge to captivate you with their effects. This year, the focus is mainly on going green, organic, and being eco-friendly in the home. As such, the popular interior paint colors for 2010 reflect this trend, in that they are cool, calm and soothing, though the vibrant nature of some cannot be overlooked and is rather necessary to keep you going when in a slump. Compiled based on the opinion of interior painting and color experts, we bring to you the hottest interior paint colors for 2010. However, before seeing these colors, first learn how to choose interior paint colors, so that you can make the right decision when revamping your home.
How to Choose Interior Paint Colors
It has always been maintained in the world of interior designing, that personal taste should be given preference over the raging trends. However, sometimes you simply desire to be as trendy as the world demands you to be, and there is indeed no harm in that. As long as you are comfortable with it, the variety to choose from is vast. Now that you've decided that you want to get with it, and have your rooms painted in the best interior paint colors for 2010, here are some thumb rules when picking paint colors for your interiors.
- Always look at the bigger picture. Your room is not made up only of walls, but of the flooring, furniture, accessories and overall decor you combine it with it. As such, when it comes to deciding on interior paint colors and combinations ensure that you have a color scheme in mind. Balance the colors in terms of wall paint, fabrics and accessories.
- For this purpose, it is always wiser to keep a sample of the kind or color of fabric you will be choosing for your interiors.
- Decide on the kind of paint finish you want. You can choose from a matte or glossy finish, depending on your personal preference. Also, some colors would look better in a glossy finish than in a matte finish. For instance, the maple mentioned below would do justice to a glossy finish, whereas the teal blue is definitely to be applied in a matte finish.
- Always apply a sample of paint on the walls before painting the whole wall in one particular color. This gives you a rough idea of how the color will look in the overall scheme of things.

online shopping - Tips to get dresses identical to their pictures
Most of times when we shop clothes online, we are not able to get items identical to what their pictures look like. The pictures may look very tempting and promising. However, when we try the items on ourselves, somehow they do not look as good as they are. You may even have bought items with wrong measurement and completely different colour. Here are a few tips I have summarized after my numerous online shopping experiences.
1. Choose a good online shop. Before you shop online, do a review search of the shop. Certain shops have reputation bad enough that customers have set up blogs to complain about them. Send an email of inquiry to the owner before you place your order. If the shop owner is able to earn your trust through the reply, consider placing a small order with them.
2. Know you body well. You may have known the size of clothes (S, M, L) you wear. However, certain items have smaller or larger cutting in particular areas such as waist or hip circle. Also, you may wear small size but you have slightly longer bust line or waist line. Hence, you need to know the exact measurement of your body. Take a measuring tape to measure you shoulder width, chest, waist and hip circle. Most of times measurements of the items are provided on the shop. Check if the measurements can fit you. Choose the size with measurements at least 1-3 cm larger than your body measurement.
3. Be aware of the colour difference. Sometimes you find that the item you receive has different colour as compared its pictures. I suggest that you have to accommodate for small differences as lighting and quality of the picture may not present the exact colour of the item. Responsible shop owners not only show you the items wore by the model, but also the enlarged images that present the details of the items. Look out for the enlarged images as they present a much closer colour to that of the item.
4. Quality of the materials is crucial. When the materials of the clothes are lousy, they look cheap even though their designs are cute. How can we identify the good materials from lousy materials by just looking at pictures? There are two ways to help you. You can refer to the enlarged pictures of the items to have e feel of what their materials are. Or, you can refer to the product description to know what they are made of. Very experienced shoppers will be able to know how the item really look like and feel like with the two pieces of information above. However, if you are not certain, the simplest way is to email the shop owner and ask whether the materials are good. Look out for how the owner replies.
I concluded the above tips through numerous online shopping experiences. The most important tip is: study the close-up of the item. They really tell you the details.
At the moment, I own an online shop at http://mdwardrobe.ocnk.biz
Have a look at the shop if you have time. The items are well-made and the materials are good.

How Color Printing is Defined
Color printing is the reproduction of an image or text (or both) in color, rather than in black and white.
Of course, it is not quite that simple. There are different techniques used to reproduce color images and text. This article will discuss two of these methods and which process to use when.
Four-color process
The four-color process is used to print items that have a full spectrum of colors, such as a color photograph. The four colors include three primary colors – cyan, magenta and yellow, along with black (known as CMYK for short). Another full-color printing method, the six-color process, is newer and adds orange and green to the CMYK palette, which provides a bigger and brighter color range. The colors produced are known as process colors.
Spot-color process
Whereas the four-color process mixes four colors together in different combinations to produce different colors, spot color ink is used alone, rather than mixed, to make various colors. Spot color ink can be used in combination with four-color inks if needed.
Spot color inks are nearly unlimited in color range and can be more varied than the color produced by the four-color process. Spot color inks can print colors from pastels to metallics and other finishes. The colors produced are known as spot colors.
Spot color printing is generally cheaper to produce than process color printing, but spot colors are not appropriate for any material that includes a photo or a wide range of colors.
So how do you know which process to use when?
Use process colors if:
-you are using full color photos
-you need more than two spot colors (otherwise, your spot color printing cost could get more expensive than process color printing)
-your document includes many different graphics with many shades of color
Use spot colors if:
-You have no full color photos – your photos only include one spot color and black
-you repeatedly need a color that CMYK can’t produce properly (for instance, if your logo is going to be printed over and over)
-you need colors that are more vibrant
-you want to use metallic or fluorescent colors
-you have a large printing area, such as a poster (spot colors cover well than process colors)
In addition, sometimes you need to use spot colors and process colors together, such as when:
- Your document has full-color photographs and you have your logo on the page, which includes a color that cannot be properly produced by CMYK
- You need to increase the intensity of a process color – adding a spot color ink will deepen the process color
- Your full color publication is coated with varnish, and varnish is designated as a spot color.
