Wedding Cross Stitch Kits
Cross stitch is a great way to produce unbelievable designs at the same time using your creativity. There are a variety of cross stitch kits available based on the method of stitching. You can choose from a wide variety and try your hand at any of them. There are stamped cross stitch kits, counted cross stitch kits, embellished cross stitch kits and no count cross stitch kits. You can also choose from wedding cross stitch kits, anniversary cross stitch kits, new baby cross stitch kits, christening cross stitch kits, cat cross stitch kits or flowers cross stitch kits.
In the counted cross stitch kit is included a pattern or chart of the design that you are to sew and you have to count the squares in your fabric or cloth as per the chart. It is quite simple to do this kind of sewing as if you want to replicate a particular design you can do so with ease; only thing is you have to keep track of where you have reached as per the pattern provided and count the squares correctly or you could make a mistake. You can find both wedding cross stitch kits as well as anniversary cross stitch kits in the counted cross stitch kind.
The next type of wedding cross stitch kits that are available are the stamped cross stitch kits which do not require any pattern or chart as the design comes printed on the fabric itself. Although it sounds pretty simple, getting the right colors especially when they differ by just a shade or two might be a bit cumbersome. To start with, if you are looking for anniversary cross stitch kits you can try out the ones with a simple design so as to reduce your chances of mistakes until you get used to the slight color differences.
If you are looking for a quicker stitching project in wedding cross stitch kits the embellished stitching kit is the right one for you. It is very much like the stamped kit as the design is printed on the fabric but in embellished kits, what you sew becomes the decorative part of the design. You need not sew out the entire design but you may concentrate on only those parts which are labeled on the printed cloth. Working anniversary cross stitch with such kits is pretty quick but not necessarily all that easy. Some of the designs in this range expect you to cross stitch at a certain angle which makes it difficult for you to match the embellished portion with the remainder of the design. Lastly, you have the no count cross stitch kits that come with a chart as to where to sew which colors but the outline of the figure is already printed on the fabric. It is a lot easier if you compare it to the counted kit as you don't go only by the squares on the design.

Personalize Your Wedding With Embroidery
Every bride is looking for ways to make her wedding really special, down to the last detail. One of the most elegant ways to add character to your event is with custom embroidery. From the smallest accessories to the grandest elements, these are ideas on how to personalize your wedding with embroidery.
The other day, I was looking at pictures of Grace Kelly's magnificent wedding. Now we can't all be royal brides (well, maybe we can in spirit!), but any woman can take inspiration from how things are done at the most elegant weddings. For Grace Kelly's ceremony, she carried a small white prayer book which had been embroidered with a white on white design around a cross motif. The embellishment was created in a mixture of thread and tiny pearls to coordinate with her pearl bridal jewelry. Many brides know people who have needle skills, and could definitely find someone to do the same for their religious wedding ceremony. Add a small cluster of flowers (orange blossoms or lily-of-the-valley would be ideal) to the embroidered prayer book, and you have a very traditional and beautiful alternative to a large bouquet.
Embroidered items make nice gifts as well. One bride I knew picked out a collection of pretty lace trimmed hankies and had them embroidered for her family members with their titles mother of the bride, etc. This young woman came from a very emotional family, and she knew that the customized hankies would not only be thoughtful, but highly practical as well. This idea could be carried into monogrammed pocket squares for the groom and his father, too. It is an inexpensive way to make something basic into something special.
The wedding gown is definitely a great thing to consider personalizing with embroidery. It can be a little or a lot, depending on your taste and budget. For a simple country wedding, a white linen or shantung wedding gown can be embroidered around the neckline with tiny yellow and white daisies. Seed pearl centers look great with pearl bridal jewelry. If you love monograms, have an all white monogram created on the train of your gown featuring your first initial and your groom's first initial in an elaborate interlocking script. Plan the the placement of the embellishment so that it will be featured when your gown is bustled for the reception. That will be a detail that all of your guests will want to admire up close.
At the wedding ceremony, you can make a grand entrance on an custom embroidered aisle runner. The usual things to have stitched are the initials of the bride and groom and the wedding date. Make it large and in a contrasting color to the aisle runner itself so that the embroidery will be highly visible from a distance. Either have the embellishment created in your wedding colors or in blue for a great nod to the old something blue custom. After the wedding, cut out the section of the runner with the embroidery and have it framed as a wonderful wedding keepsake.
There are so many special ways to include embroidered details in a wedding. It can be as discreet as the bride's initials inside the neckline or hem of her bridal gown (an old tradition) or as dramatic as customized chair covers for the reception. Whether you choose to do a little or a lot, special embroidered details can be the perfect way to personalize your wedding.
