How do you Recycle Paper
Did you know that for every ton of paper recycled, we save 17 trees? Recycling paper is one of the most noble thing to do. Knowing that our generation have a large demand for paper and our dwindling number of trees, the least we can do is to find time to recycle the paper that we have already used. You need not to do the recycling yourself. There are many recycling companies that can do it for you.
Now, are we ready to recycle this insurmountable paper waste?
For starters, we should know that almost every kind of paper can be recycled. Perhaps except for carbon paper, paper that is wax coated or stained with oil or food, tissue, sanitary products, thermal fax paper, juice boxes, fast food wrappers, pet food bags. Your white office paper, newspaper and mixed-color paper could be recycled. It's all a matter of segregating. It is ideal if you can group your papers into three. You should put all the white office paper together and the same would be for newspaper and mixed color paper.
In segregating white office paper, you should take note that there some lower grade of paper and cannot be recycled with the white office paper and should be recycled with mixed-color paper.
Newspapers on the other hand should be placed in brown bags, which can be recycled with newspapers. You can also tie them in bundles with twine. Colored advertising inserts can also be recycled with newspapers just be sure to remove rubber bands, plastic and anything that is not paper.
The mixed-color paper category includes anything from magazines to junk mail. It's alright not to remove staples but don't forget to remove all plastic stickers, membership card and anything that is not paper.
After you are done with the segregating, you may check with your county department of public works about local curbside recycling programs and community drop-off centers, or look under "Recycling" in the yellow pages.
In addition, please be informed that other community recycling programs also accept telephone directories you just have to check it with them.

The Advantages Of Using Canvas Tarps
A canvas tarp can be an extremely useful item to have lying around the house. They can be extremely useful if you want to protect any outdoor items from the elements, or particularly when you are engaging in some painting and decorating within the house. Due to the fact that canvas tarps are flame resistant, water resistant, and mildew resistant, they are able to provide many different benefits to the average homeowner.
Of course, as mentioned one of the more popular uses of a canvas tarp will be to make sure that any floor, carpet, or furniture is protected when you are doing some painting. If you lay down your canvas tarp then you can ensure that any paint that is dropped will land happily on it and can then simply be washed away.
While it is true that purchasing canvas tarps is likely to set you back a little bit more than buying a plastic one, the canvas tarp that you purchase can easily be reused a number of times. Commonly plastic tarpaulins are simply thrown out, and as such over the course of your life you are more likely to spend additional money fantastic tarps than you would on canvas ones.
Another benefit of canvas is simply that it is not as slippery as plastic. As such, if you are painting inside and you have laid down a canvas tarpaulin then you will be far less likely to slip over and knock into the water that you have just painted. Not only will this setback your work, but it will also ruin the clothes that you are wearing.
Canvas is, furthermore, more sturdy and heavy then your average plastic tarpaulin. This is what makes it excellent when being used outside in order to protect different items against the elements. As long as you have fastened your tarpaulin down it is far more likely to offer greater protection than plastic tarps would.

Anxiety Attack Relief - 3 Simple Ways to Relieve Anxiety Attacks Fast
Anxiety attacks are terrifying aren't they? And each one seems to get worse and last longer. No wonder you're searching for ways to relieve those frightening symptoms. And you aren't alone in this by a long shot, since at least 33% of Amercans have had an anxiety attack, along with millions more worldwide.
O.K. just take the medicine and you're anxiety and anxiety attacks (also called panic attacks) will stop, right?
Well, while there's no doubt that drugs such as tranquilizers and antidepressants can help to calm you down and manage your mood, what happens when you come off them? And what about those terrible side effects, including dependency problems? They might address the symptoms, but what about the underlying causes?
Luckily, there are many completely natural remedies for anxiety attack relief that you can use. There are many natural treatments that have been proven to be effective such as, herbal and homeopathic remedies, and therapies such as meditation, self-hypnosis, aromatherapy, behaviour therapy, bio-feedback, even acupuncture, and many more.
But what about during an anxiety attack? How do you get relief then? First you have to remember that anxiety and panic attacks are emotional issues, not physical. So that how you react emotionally during an attack will determine how fast you can relieve it...
First, here's a medical fact: anxiety attack symptoms cannot harm you. This is important, so remember it always. The symptoms are caused by various chemical and hormonal changes unwittingly triggered by your body's own defense mechanism. It has mistaken your high anxiety levels as a sign that you're in physical danger and triggered its 'fight or flight' response, resulting in those terrifying symptoms.
So at the first signs of an attack, don't panic, repeat to yourself that you're o.k., that you know you won't come to any harm, and that you know that if you stay as calm as you can, the symptoms will pass more quickly.
The next phase is to help your emotional state further by getting back control of your breathing which will be too fast and shallow during an attack. This type of breathing (hyperventilation) produces an in-balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen in our blood. This leads to more intense anxiety attack symptoms producing even more emotional panic.
Breathe in through the nose and out of your mouth, slowly, regularly and deeply. And it's very important to fill and empty the whole of each lung by using your abdomen as well as your chest when breathing. Chest breathing only inflates the upper parts of your lungs.
Finally, you need to realise that by analysing each of your symptoms only increases your fear and panic even more. By doing this you're effectively prolonging the attack and its intensity. So, focus intently on things around you, wherever you happen to be, people, buildings, cars, etc. This is important.
I had found these three techniques to be very effective for relieving anxiety attacks.
But you'll agree that it's better to prevent them happening in the first place, right?
Then guess what single thing is holding back you curing your anxiety attacks for good?
Your fear of having your next one. Yes, your fear of having another panic attack can actually cause it! So you need to get rid of that fear, which has put you into a vicious cycle of... anxiety, attack, fear, more anxiety, another attack, fear, even more anxiety, and another attack, etc.

Growing A Wild Flower Meadow
Wild flower meadows are a hot landscaping topic these days. Why should this be so ? Should you attempt one?
Wild flower meadows are fashionable for many reasons.
Firstly a wild flower meadow fits our ideas of conservation. To re-establish them is to revive the past. This applies equally to prairie landscapes in the US as it does to English flower meadows.
Next, these meadows fit the facts of conservation. They consume fewer resources, needing less mowing, and positively no fertilizers. They encourage - in a small way - a greater diversity of fauna as well as flora. Small mammals, amphibians, insects - including butterflies - are given a new habitat.
They also look marvelous. A wild flower meadow pleases the eye, with its color varied texture, and with its changeability during the seasons.
Added to these factors they are lower maintenance than traditional lawns. They save our time and also that of municipalities and local authorities who are adopting wild flower meadows on roadside verges as a way of reducing mowing costs.
How to establish a wild flower meadow.
The site must be free of existing grass and weed species. It must also be nutrient poor. If rich in nutrients it will be well to scalp the topsoil from the site. You do this in the autumn, for sowing the following spring. If you don't need to scalp the top then you must apply weedkiller and rake away any organic remains.
You will sow in the spring with the wild flower meadow seed mixes of your choice. We have found it best to buy two or three mixes because some are better than others and its difficult to tell which will be best for you. This is really, really important. As in life you reinforce success, and in subsequent years you simply resow the best wild flower mix for you. You can of course read the packets to see what they contain. Avoid mixes that are bulked out with vermiculite, and if your botanic knowledge is strong you might be able to make an informed decision. Most of us do not.
The other source of seeds for your meadow is to gather hay from meadows that exist round and about. This will definitely result in a meadow that is adapted to the local environment, but impossible for most of us to follow.
You will find many invasive weeds will try their luck amongst the seeds you bought. Patience will really pay off. Remove the offending weeds (with us it was sow thistle, plantain, and a rhizomatous grass we couldn't identify). Hard work but you've got the whole summer to do it in.
The results.
Our meadow was a great success. It contained many flowers you wouldn't see locally, but there were clovers and daisies as well as marigolds and phacelia (from California). A part of it was disappointing because of poor seed, but the rest flowered most of the summer and we didn't mow it until late September. Next year we'll re-sow the patches that didn't work, and remove some of those pesky perennial weeds.

Implementing An Office Recycling System
So you want to work so that you're easier on the environment? Well, that's a good start. Often, the easiest part is recycling and cutting down on the amount you contribute to the waste stream and the landfills. First of all, you'll need to set up your system. In most areas, you are able to recycle paper, cans and some plastics. If you're not sure, check with a local office recycling company (such as Green Deeds Ltd) as to what services they provide regarding recycling, and what they haven't. Do not forget to inform your office cleaner about that as well. Next, you'll need to get the equipment for a recycling system. If your local recycling company is nice, they'll provide you with recycling bins as a part of their waste-and-recycling collection system. If they aren't, you'll have to provide your own. The most eco-friendly way is cardboard boxes (which are themselves recyclable) or else using plastic bins. You may be able to pick up some cheap second hand bins if you don't want to buy new ones.
Now, I can't tell you exactly where to put your bins - or how many you should have, as I can't see your canteen or office. But I'll tell you one system that works for many offices, and you can adapt this to suit yourself.
* GOOS (Good On One Side) paper. This is stored flat in a cardboard box and is used for any pen and paper work that isn't going public - rough drafts, shopping lists, telephone messages.
* Other paper and cardboard. If you have a log fire, you can keep some of these as fire starters, plus other newspapers, etc. for spreading out under paintings, lining guinea pig cages, scrunching up and stuffing inside wet Wellingtons to dry them, etc. What doesn't get burned or can go into the guinea pig cage will be recycled.
* The Bag of Bags. If you have plastic shopping bags, you'll find multiple uses for them, or else they'll need to be recycled. Have a Bag of Bags hanging up where you can shove clean plastic bags until use or recycling. A proper Bag of Bags is a long tube of cloth with a drawstring closure at each end. Or you can just use one of the more presentable shopping bags.
* Compost bowl. A retired coloured aluminium serving bowl from the 1960s for any other organic waste generated in the kitchen (eggshells, orange peel, nutshells, coffee grounds, tea bags, plum stones). Lives on the top of the canteen bench to remind me to empty it frequently, as well as being handy.
* Other recycling. This is a recycling company provided bin for old bottles, jars and tins. If you have to sort things, then sort them as you toss them into the bins. Name the bins.
