Using YouTube to increase your online profits
If you thought YouTube was just a place where teenagers and geeks hang out to watch semi funny films all day, then think again. Now owned by Google it is said to be the second biggest search engine. People use it to search for information and solutions to anything you can think of from building WordPress sites to putting up pop up tents.
For this reason, many internet marketers started to use it to profit from by making useful videos that either drive traffic to their own or an affiliate website or as a pre teaser for a forth coming big product that they were about to launch.
Here are the 7 steps to start your YouTube business campaign.
1. Set up a channel for your business, using your name or business name. Use something formal or professional and not something wacky or comical unless your niche suits a fun name.
2. Put your details into the profile, make sure to fill it all out. Chose a relevant picture or logo to create a branding or well known ‘Face' for you within your niche.
3. Upload any videos you have or if you have yet to film some, start to make a few films using free online screen capture software like www.screenr.com to capture a series of slides made in PowerPoint or the free slideshow software that you can get in Google documents. (You will need a gmail account for access to Google docs but it is free!) You could always start by doing a quick webcam introduction of yourself and what you do but please do not try to come across as some slick American Guru style sales man. It usually scares people away!
4. Do some research, look for other people with similar videos and channels. Subscribe to as many as you can, add comments and ‘Likes' to other peoples channels. This can lead to other people seeing your comments and ‘Likes' and visiting your channel meaning your videos getting viewed.
5. Create a plan to follow that includes all the above. Each week make and add at least one video, look for more channels to subscribe to and add comments and ‘Likes' to other videos to keep increasing your subscription base. The more content and updates that you regularly do the more likely your viewers will come back.
6. Videos that generally work best are ones that can offer a solution to a problem or helpful tips to overcome a problem easily and quickly. Try to give good content freely without constantly trying to sell to people. Videos with free content helping out problems are great pre teasers to a following up sell product.
7. Once you have the hang of posting new videos and content regularly as well posting and replying to comments the next thing to do is promote your videos outside of YouTube on sites such as Facebook and Twitter as well as your own websites. If you use Screenr to record your videos you can post them straight to Twitter and upload them to YouTube as soon as you have finished.
Once you have a few videos online within your chosen niche with subscribers then now is the time to profit from them.
For example, I am a fully trained carpenter and have spent 20 years working in the woodworking business, If I recorded myself doing 5 minute quick carpentry tutorials like fitting architrave around a door and fitting locks, I could then make a DVD product where I teach the complete door fitting from frame right through to the last door handle. I could sell this complete DVD to my woodworking hungry followers, I could do DVDs of fitting new kitchens, or replacing windows. I could also have several eBooks in the carpentry or general house building niches which I could sell off the back of my series of 5 minute tutorials.
This could be done in thousands of niches from building trades, BMX biking, breakdancing, sea fishing, martial arts, so, so many niches that can be profitable. Is it worth you considering?

China's Handmade Embroidery - Embroidered Silk Visual Art
Hisotry of Chinese Handmade Embroidery
China has always been famous for its silk and its handmade silk embroidery. For millennia, the renowned "Silk Road" brought Chinese silk and embroidery to Central Asia, Western Asia, Europe and Africa. The silk trade created exchanges between China, India, Greece and Rome and acted as a link between these four ancient civilizations.
Since the earliest fabric samples of 3000 B.C. People in China realise that human beings have wanted to enliven their surroundings clothing, toiletries and linens by adding hand work of some kind over the woven fabrics.
Different areas of the devised their own peculiar styles. The type of thread, colors, motifs and presentation of each area and style are unique. Each region had a few stitches unique to their style. The motifs were related to nature and religion and everyday life of people.
Religious embroideries spanned the breadth of the age of the many religious organizations and royal courts. Handmade Embroidery art had patrons just like other art forms. These embroideries include gold threads or zardosi, chikankari, kasuti and kashmiri.
Chikankari is said to have a Turkish impression though it is mentioned in the records of Megasthenes in 3rd century B.C. Kashmiri embroidery is colorful with symbols like chinar leaf, apple blossom, lily, the saffron flower and the fauna of the region. Phulkari has brightly colored flowers on coarse cotton. Beadwork and Zardosi are Mughal introductions where as mirror work is typical to Gujarat and Rajasthan. Kantha' Embroidery of Bengal makes imaginative use of waste rugs and Kasuti is famous for religious themes.
- Styles of Chinese Silk Embroidery Art
There are several different levels of Chinese embroidered silk visual art:
• Antique (all handmade obviously)
• High quality, classical handmade
• Ordinary quality handmade
• Machine made
As corresponding, Suzhou embroidery (Su embroidery for short), Hunan embroidery (Xiang embroidery for short), Sichuan embroidery (Shu embroidery for short) and Guangdong embroidery (Yue embroidery for short) are the four most famous styles of embroidery in China.
The city of Suhou is the center of the Chinese handmade embroidered silk visual art. From there the silk industry spreads west to other cities including Suzhou and it extends to Shanghai, Wuxi, etc. and now includes Beijing, Guangxi, Guangdong. Shenzhen, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Shandong, Hubei, Anhui and other places.
Merits of Chinese Handmade Embroidery
Handmade classical silk embroidery is alive. The high quality work looks lifelike. It's been created with loving care by an individual artist. These people are masters of their trade.
They have incredible skill and their work is stunningly beautiful. But it looks alive. The machine made versions look stiff and unnatural. It's quite easily distinguishable.
Handmade embroidery is done with pure silk thread. It has an exquisite, glossy feel to it. Real silk thread will break when used in a sewing machine. So the thread that is used in a machine is thicker and has an artificial fiber feel to it because it is a mix. It is not pure silk.
Chinese handmade silk embroidery is highly collectible. There are many collectors in Germany, the rest of Europe, the USA, Japan, Africa and in other countries, usually the affluent art aficionados all over the world. The embroidered silk is truly representative of Chinese art.
Authentic antique silk embroidered visual art sells for anywhere between $35,000 and $125,000, and is an excellent investment as their prices continue to rise. Over the long term (hundreds of years) the value has increased by as much as 50 times. These pieces are on display in museums and exist in private collections and become available for sale in much the same way any antique art does: dealers, auctions and so on, with the usual problems of verifying authenticity and provenance.
But machine embroidery may have become common these days and perhaps more economical but theuniqueness, variety, intricacy, art and fineness of hand embroidery is unmatched and as yet unchallenged. Today you can also buy modern, hand embroidered silk of the type that is being produced. This varies greatly in quality. At one extreme there is ordinary handmade silk embroidery which you can buy for as little as $100 for a piece. Then there is high quality, classical embroidered silk being produced at higher prices. These pieces tend to sell at auction and therefore the prices can go very high and be somewhat unpredictable.
A Special Kind of Chinese Handmade Embroidery - Chinese Double Sided Embroidery
The double sided embroidery is a technique in which stitching takes place on both sides of a single transparent silk fabric. The design shows on both sides (front and reverse). Such a piece is normally mounted on a wooden frame as a screen, one really can't tell which side is the front or the back.
Most of the double sided embroideries, almost all, people see in shops have the same images on both sides. However there are a few double sided embroideries that have two different images on both sides. It's a mystery and secret how this kind of works are made.
Fine Works of Chinese Handmade Embroidery
People from different countries have different tastes. A silk handmade embroidery popular in one country is not necessarily popular in another country. But there are some silk embroideries that seem almost everyone likes them.
Have you ever seen such a beautiful painting on a piece of silk satin? Just imagine embroidering such a delicate figure with threads and needles! But such exquisite embroidery has been one of China's most famous art forms for many centuries, and four main schools of embroidery have established with their unique techniques.
Picture: The Chinese Art of Painting with Silk Threads
Remark: Clever photographer, Nancy Fox, recently returned from a tour of mainland China. A visit to an embroidery factory in Suzhou was high on her list of places to see. She was not disappointed. When she arrived, the artists were hard at work producing these paintings. They readily consented to let Nancy photograph them while they worked.
* Last, if you interests, you can find all kinds of Chinese silk handmade silk embroidery art for sale on the Internet(http://www.made-in-china.com/products-search/hot-china-products/Handmade_Embroidery.html) like any other modern or old art.

Santa Claus Postmark & Christmas Trees
Millions and millions of people all across America will be celebrating Christmas this year, and if you fall into this category you will most likely enjoy the holiday season with a Christmas tree in your house. And just as each of us are unique, each of our Christmas trees will be unique. Decorating our Christmas trees is a treasured tradition – just like writing letters to Santa (and hoping to get a letter with a Santa Claus postmark) and gift giving.
Some people decorate according to a theme and some according to a color scheme and others have more of a free for all style. The advantage of using a theme is that it makes the shopping experience easier when you are purchasing your decorations because it gives you a focus. The same is true of color schemes. Most of us have some cherished decorations that we will tire of – so we want to always find a way to fit those in with our yearly decorations.
Department stores, drug stores, and dollar stores are great places to find inexpensive Christmas ornaments and other decorations. This means you should be able to purchase your Christmas tree decorations, whether it’s lights or ornaments, at a relatively cheap price at any of these shops.
Another option for finding some really nice Christmas decorations is Christmas specialty shops. These are stores that specialize in Christmas decorations. You may or may not live in an area where any of these shops are located. Although the shops offer wonderful decorations, they can be extremely expensive.
The Internet is another fabulous option for finding terrific Christmas decorations. A simple search will provide you with a list of numerous sites that sell high quality, chic Christmas tree decorations and ornaments. You might also want to think about companies or individuals that focus on the creation of unique, handcrafted Christmas ornaments. Of course, handcrafted Christmas ornaments, especially those that are personalized in some way, can be quite expensive. One other option is handcrafting some of your own Christmas decorations. This can be fun for the whole family. There are lots of websites that offer step by step instructions for Christmas craft projects – and most of them are very easy to do.
Decorations from past years can bring back wonderful memories. Besides the joy their sight brings to you, they will save you money on your Christmas decorating budget. Always use at least a few of these every year.

PrintedSilkFabrics Sewing Tips: How to sew a Prom Dress!
Prom is a great time to show off your own personal style. After all, it's probably the first time you'll get to wear a smoking hot dress to a social event! Even if you're on a tight budget, you can wear a prom dress that makes you look good and shows off your style.
1. Conduct an Internet or magazine search to find dress styles that you like the best. You can easily modify a simple dress pattern to make your homemade prom dress look just as fancy as an expensive designer dress.
2. Buy a pattern that matches that dress shape. They do not need to be exactly the same, as you can tailor your pattern to fit your shape. Just make sure that if you wanted a one-piece prom dress with a sweetheart top, that your dress pattern is the same.
3. Choose fabrics for your dress. Here's where your creativity begins. You can choose one color, four colors or a funky pattern. It's all up to you. Just look at the back of your pattern to be sure that you're buying enough fabric.
4. Get extra supplies, as long as you're at a fabric store. Each pattern has a variety of extras that you will need. Most will ask for a zipper and hook-and-eye clasp. Others might have built in bodices that require boning material. Or you might need tulle to help the skirt poof out. Read the back of your pattern to find out exactly what and how much of everything you will need.
5. Pick out some extra embellishments. Even if your pattern does not require them, you can always apply other embellishments, such as sequins, buttons, embroidery or rhinestones, to your prom dress. But keep in mind, embellishments take a long time to add. Make sure you have plenty of time to finish your dress before you go embellishment crazy.
6. Tailor your dress pattern to be the perfect fit. Most patterns come with about four different sizes of patterns. Use a measuring tape to measure your chest, waist and hips, and use the chart on the back of the pattern to choose which size pattern you will use to sew your prom dress.
7. Figure out the best direction to lay your pattern onto your fabric, and cut it out. In general, you should lay your pattern onto your fabric so that the top edge of each pattern piece is perpendicular to the width of your fabric. Once all of the pattern pieces are placed, use straight pins to secure the pattern onto your fabric, and cut it out.
8. Follow the pattern's instructions. Make sure you do all of the steps in order, and be sure to try on each piece as you complete it. For example, after you finish the skirt, put it on to make sure it fits correctly. If it's too big, you might want to undo your stitches and use a smaller size of your pattern to sew it again. Remember, you do not want your dress to look homemade. So make sure you take your time as you sew and prepare your dress.
