Using YouTube to increase your online profits
If you thought YouTube was just a place where teenagers and geeks hang out to watch semi funny films all day, then think again. Now owned by Google it is said to be the second biggest search engine. People use it to search for information and solutions to anything you can think of from building WordPress sites to putting up pop up tents.
For this reason, many internet marketers started to use it to profit from by making useful videos that either drive traffic to their own or an affiliate website or as a pre teaser for a forth coming big product that they were about to launch.
Here are the 7 steps to start your YouTube business campaign.
1. Set up a channel for your business, using your name or business name. Use something formal or professional and not something wacky or comical unless your niche suits a fun name.
2. Put your details into the profile, make sure to fill it all out. Chose a relevant picture or logo to create a branding or well known ‘Face' for you within your niche.
3. Upload any videos you have or if you have yet to film some, start to make a few films using free online screen capture software like www.screenr.com to capture a series of slides made in PowerPoint or the free slideshow software that you can get in Google documents. (You will need a gmail account for access to Google docs but it is free!) You could always start by doing a quick webcam introduction of yourself and what you do but please do not try to come across as some slick American Guru style sales man. It usually scares people away!
4. Do some research, look for other people with similar videos and channels. Subscribe to as many as you can, add comments and ‘Likes' to other peoples channels. This can lead to other people seeing your comments and ‘Likes' and visiting your channel meaning your videos getting viewed.
5. Create a plan to follow that includes all the above. Each week make and add at least one video, look for more channels to subscribe to and add comments and ‘Likes' to other videos to keep increasing your subscription base. The more content and updates that you regularly do the more likely your viewers will come back.
6. Videos that generally work best are ones that can offer a solution to a problem or helpful tips to overcome a problem easily and quickly. Try to give good content freely without constantly trying to sell to people. Videos with free content helping out problems are great pre teasers to a following up sell product.
7. Once you have the hang of posting new videos and content regularly as well posting and replying to comments the next thing to do is promote your videos outside of YouTube on sites such as Facebook and Twitter as well as your own websites. If you use Screenr to record your videos you can post them straight to Twitter and upload them to YouTube as soon as you have finished.
Once you have a few videos online within your chosen niche with subscribers then now is the time to profit from them.
For example, I am a fully trained carpenter and have spent 20 years working in the woodworking business, If I recorded myself doing 5 minute quick carpentry tutorials like fitting architrave around a door and fitting locks, I could then make a DVD product where I teach the complete door fitting from frame right through to the last door handle. I could sell this complete DVD to my woodworking hungry followers, I could do DVDs of fitting new kitchens, or replacing windows. I could also have several eBooks in the carpentry or general house building niches which I could sell off the back of my series of 5 minute tutorials.
This could be done in thousands of niches from building trades, BMX biking, breakdancing, sea fishing, martial arts, so, so many niches that can be profitable. Is it worth you considering?

The 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa
It only comes around once every 4 years, and this is the year for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa! The World Cup is watched by over 26 BILLION viewers worldwide, and the final game with the coveted gold trophy is watched by over 700 million spectators alone. The opening concert is June 10, 2010, opening matches begin on June 11th with the World Cup Final game on July 11, 2010. South Africa is the host country for 2010, and the matches are being played in 10 venues in 9 host locations throughout the country. The opening and closing ceremonies will be hosted at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg.
There will be two matches on the opening day. In Johannesburg, South Africa will play Mexico. In Cape Town, Uruguay will play France. One of the "must see" matches is on 12-June when Team USA plays England in Rustenburg. Italy will play their first game in Cape Town on 14-June against Paraguay, and Brazil will play their first game in Johannesburg on 15-June against Korea.
I have personally attended a World Cup match (Brazil v Holland), and I can attest that I've not attended any other sporting event that comes close to the excitement and adrenaline rush that comes with attending one or more of these matches. In my opinion, attending a World Cup match is a "must do", if only once, in one's lifetime! You will never experience another event like it!
